Atlanta Wedding Photographers Capture Unique Reception | AtlantaArtisticWeddings

Trapeze Artist at reception captured by the Atlanta wedding photographers at AtlantaArtisticWeddings

Atlanta wedding photographers at AtlantaArtisticWeddings capture unique reception

As a Atlanta wedding photographer I get to see lots of different kinds of weddings and receptions.  This week was a very unique reception.  It was held at Underground Atlanta in part of the space for the Masquerade.  The weather was even unusual in the since there was still snow on the ground in Atlanta!  All these things combined made for a very unique Atlanta wedding reception.

The first part of the day took place at Payne Corley house in Duluth outside of Atlanta.  The Payne Corley house was right down the road where the bride grew up.  It is a beautiful historic wedding venue with a very talented staff who know how put the guests first.  When I arrived there on Saturday there still was a slight drizzle of snow.  The owners of Payne Corley house got there early through the tough weather to be ready for the bride and the groom.

We took the couple downtown to do the photograph them in the snow.  We had a blast and the couple were so gun ho! We just walked around in the snow and had a blast!!  The bride even walked through the snow in open toed shoe.  She was not going to be deterred.  You can see some of the photos below. The photo is from when we did a first look in front of the historic wedding venue in the snow.

First look in the snow by the Atlanta Wedding Photographers at AtlantaArtisticWeddings

Fire entertainer at Underground wedding reception photography by AtlantaArtisticWeddings

The reception for this wedding was held later on in the night and had a more of almost circus vibe.   When I say circus I mean they had lights and entertainers.  They were close friends with a variety of entertainers in the Atlanta area.  So they had a fire eater outside the venue and a trapeze artist inside of the venue.  The whole experience was so unique and fun!  As you can see in the photos it was a night to remember.

I want to thank the couple for allowing AtlantaArtisticWeddings to capture their big day.  It is such an honor being a wedding photographer in Atlanta.  You get know such wonderful people and capture such a rocking reception!

AtlatnaArtisticWeddings shoots Atlanta Snow Wedding | Atlanta Wedding Photographers

First Look shot by the Atlanta Wedding Photographers at AtlantaArtisticWeddings

The Atlanta Wedding Photographers at AtlantaArtisticWeddings shoots a Snow Wedding in Atlanta at Historic Event Venue

This is one for the books!  As a Atlanta wedding photographer it is always an honor to shoot at so many wonderful venues and couples.  This weekend was so special and unique.   We had snow!!  yes you heard me right we had snow in Atlanta!  This makes for great wedding photography.

This couple was so sweet!  They braved the snow and showed up at the venue early in the morning.  If you know the history of Atlanta and Snow then you know how big of a deal this is.  It started snowing the night before and in the morning we had a couple of inches of the snow!

When we got at the venue I asked the groom if he had seen the bride in her wedding dress.  He said no and I asked him if wanted to do a first look.  He was all on board!  I set him outside and this brave man stood in the cold snow and waited to see his bride in her beautiful wedding dress.  She sneaked up behind him and tapped the groom on the shoulder.  He turned around and gave his bride a big kiss!  They were so thoughtful toward each other it made me so happy.

Engagement Photography shot by the Atlanta Wedding Photographers shot by www.AtlantaArtisticWeddings.com

Atlanta Wedding Photographers at AtlantaArtisticWeddings shoot at Ponce City Market, Old Fourth Ward Park and the Belt Line

As a Atlanta wedding photographer at AtlantaArtisticWeddings some always says you most have seen it all.  I always respond every couple is unique so there is no way to see it all! This couple was no exception.  They were so cute and original.

When I was talking to the bride the whole engagement thing was new to her.  So when she asked me what to wear I said just be yourself and relax.  She explained her love of Pandas and asked if she could wear a Panda head.   I knew right then that this was going to be a great photo shoot!!

We met early in the morning at Ponce City Market.  We walked around to the Old Fourth Ward Park and Belt Line.  We even shoot some photos at against the living wall graffiti on North Avenue.  We had a blast!   Now we did not shoot all their photos with the Panda and Sloth heads.  We shoot plenty with out them.  They are such a cute couple!!! They were confidant enough to be their selves.  What else could you ask from some one.  They were great!  They had fun and were such a joy!!!  I see a big bright future for this Panda and Sloth.

The Atlanta wedding photographers at AtlantaArtisticWeddings capture the city's skyline and Atlanta Landmarks

As a Atlanta wedding photographer is truly an honor to photograph so many wonderful locations.  This was a great wedding and such a wonderful couple!  During the planning stages they picked some iconic Atlanta locations to capture the city's skyline.

To get some great photos you need to some planning ahead of time.  This couple was great!  We made a google map and shared it with me.  That way when we look at the map we can pick photo locations in between the church and the reception.  So when the big day came we could hit 3 different iconic photo locations on the way to the reception.  We did it all in 45 minutes!

Atlanta skyline by www.AtlantaArtisticWeddings.com

One of the other locations we shot at was at Centennial  Park nestled in the heart of the city. We walked across the park and took some photos by the Olympic ring fountain.  Yes I stood in the middle of the fountain to get this shot.   You know a Atlanta wedding photographer will do anything to get the shot.   I like the blurred Atlanta skyline in the background and the water in the fountain in the foreground.

I want to give this Atlanta bride and groom a big thanks!  They were so gracious through out the day.  They enjoyed the moment and had a wonderful time.  They were surrounded by great family and friends who celebrated their special day!

The classic Atlanta city sky line wedding exit by AtlantaArtisticWeddings

Photo by the Atlanta Wedding Photographers at AtlantaArtisticWeddings

The classic Atlanta city sky line wedding exit with sparklers by the Atlanta wedding photographers at AtlantaArtisticWeddings

This weekend I had the honor of shooting a great wedding with a wonderful couple.  They were so thoughtful and fun!  The wedding was held at Catholic church in Atlanta called the Holy Spirit Catholic Church.  The church is located at 4465 Northside Dr NW, Atlanta, GA 30327.  The church has two beautiful sanctuaries for any size wedding.   It was the second time I shot at that church this year.  The wedding guild was great and very gracious.   They also communicated very well with the bride, groom and vendors on the decorum in the church.
After the wedding we took photos at the classic photo locations through out the city.  We stopped at Winn Park, A Parking Deck, and Centennial Park.  We went to all the Atlanta locations in less than a hour.   By doing this short stops we got a lot of variety in the photos.
The reception was held at Terminus 330 located at 330 Marietta St NW, Atlanta, GA 30313.  It is a wonderful venue in the heart of downtown Atlanta.  Nestled in between  Centennial Park, Georgia Aquarium and The Mercedes Benz Stadium According to their website:

"Built in 1912 and located in the heart of Downtown Atlanta, Terminus 330’s intimate yet spacious historic features are both industrial and elegant, highlighted by exposed brick, heavy timber columns, and original hardwood floors.

The 5,400 square foot Central Station makes the perfect backdrop for corporate events, retail pop-ups, holiday parties, weddings, rehearsal dinners, engagement parties, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, non-profit events, and many other celebrations. The Cellar, an additional 3,000 square foot, 1920’s New York-inspired space, adds a sense of luxury and intrigue to any event."
The photos above was shot by the Atlanta Wedding Photographers at AtlantaArtisticWeddings. The wedding exit with sparklers looked great with the Atlanta skyline in the background.  It was such an honor to shoot this wonderful Atlanta couple!

AtlantaArtisticWeddings shoot Harry Potter and Superhero Themed Wedding

Superhero themed high heels for the bride

The Atlanta Wedding Photographers at AtlantaArtisticWeddings shoot detail rich wedding

As a Atlanta wedding photographer I get to see so many colorful weddings.  What I love is when I get to see some one's personality show through in their wedding. This weeks wedding was great for that.  The wedding had so many hand-made details.  Every where I turned there was another detail.  I got a tour of all the details from one of the bridesmaids.

Heart on shaped shadow on Harry Potter novel with wedding rings

My bride is a fan of Harry Potter and superheros.  The bride hand-decorated each one of her bridesmaids shoes and she even decorated her own bridal high heel shoes in different superheros.  The shoes were colorful and fun!  If you have a group like this they are not just going to put her wedding ring in a box.  What she did was to put it in a Harry Potter novel cut out to the page with Luna Lovejoy on it and place the ring there.  When you look at the photos you can see the heart that is made with the shadow on the book.

Thank you so much for visiting! I hope you got to www.AtlantaArtisticWeddings.com and drop me a line.  I would love to hear from you!

AtlantaArtisticWeddings shoot at the Payne Corley House

Payne Corley House Wedding Venue In Duluth Georgia

The Atlanta wedding photographers at www.AtlantaArtisticWeddings.com shoot at the famed Payne Corley House an Historic Event Venue

This weekend I had the honor of shooting at one of my favorite venues the Payne Corley House.  The Atlanta wedding photographers at www.AtlantaArtisticWeddings.com love shooting at this historic event venue.  They are staffed by many professionals.  This week we worked with Jennifer Fulford.  She was great to work with and a real team player!  She took care of the Bride and Groom through out the day.

To give a little background on this venue.  The owners of the venue are Krista Summerour Ganley and her husband Michael Ganley.  They make a great team and complement each other's talents perfectly.  He is a classically trained chef and been working in the restaurant insdustry since 1994.  Krista has been int the hospitality industry since 1995.  She has been at the Ritz-Carlton and other properties in New Orleans and Atlanta.

The history of the actual building I am going to take from their website.

The Payne-Corley House was built between 1870 and 1873 by David Little when Duluth was still known as “Howell’s Crossing.” Built as a farmhouse, the home received a date placard in 1873, the same year that the city took on its current name of Duluth, most likely indicating the year that the Little family made it their permanent home. Later, the home was sold to the Respess family who also maintained it as a private residence.

When Miss Winnie was ready to leave the house, a group of five girlhood friends of Betsy Corley and Duluth natives, purchased the home and christened it the Payne-Corley House.  They transformed the beloved family home into a unique special events facility. Jane (Lynott) Wilson, Judy (Mulkie) Burel, Annette (Knox) Summerour, Margie (Tonge) Ross and Emma (Bray) Deavours, known as the “Dreamkeepers,” were dedicated to maintaining the home’s historic charm while refurbishing it to meet the needs of a modern clientele. They successfully built the Payne-Corley House into one of the Southeast’s most celebrated event destinations.

In 2004, the daughter of one of the Dreamkeepers, Duluth native Krista Summerour Ganley, and her husband, Michael Ganley, brought their world-class experience in events management and gourmet cuisine as the Payne-Corley House’s new management team. In 2008, the Ganleys purchased the Payne-Corley House and launched a major facility expansion with upgrades across the property, providing enhanced services for weddings and special events.

What really makes the venue great is though is the staff.  They are one of the greatest wedding teams out there.  This week we had a change in the weather and the staff took care of everything!  What I describe on wedding day is "we monitor and adjust" because trough out the day conditions and time change.  What you keep in mind is you are on a team that main objective is to help the bride and groom in any way that you can!

AtlantaArtisticWeddings shoots at Ponce City Market

By the Atlanta Wedding Photographers at www.AtlantaArtisticWeddings.com

Atlanta Artistic Weddings shoots at The Ponce City Market with Bride and Great Wedding Dress!

As a Atlanta wedding photographer at www.AtlantaArtisticWeddings.com it is amazing to me all the options that you have as a photographer.   There are so many places to have weddings and photo shoots.  This week I was shooting off the Beltline at the Ponce City Market.  The bride was great!

This week we get to go to one of Atlanta's most famous land marks the Ponce City Market.  In 2014, Ponce City Market began to reopen the fully renovated Sears, Roebuck & Company building in Atlanta’s burgeoning Old Fourth Ward. Linked directly to the Atlanta BeltLine, and located across from Historic Fourth Ward Park, our iconic stretch of Ponce de Leon Avenue is a major part of the redevelopment movement at the crossroads of Atlanta’s most established neighborhoods.

From the Ponce website:
"At the heart of Ponce City Market is the marketplace itself, a flexible space to gather, eat and shop. In the Central Food Hall, artisan chefs and local purveyors fill an authentic market with the design, food, and flavors of Atlanta. From morning coffee to lunchtime shopping and date-night dinners, the Central Food Hall is a daily gathering place and culinary destination, year-round."

The bride wore a chiffon wedding dress with layers that flowed when she moved as you can see for the wedding photography.  She wore a diamond and silver necklace that complimented the silver trim on the top of the wedding dress.  The dress had a subtle Baroque top.  She was a great bride who just wanted to have fun in  Atlanta!

Atlanta Artistic Weddings Shoots at Krog Street Tunnel

Krog Street Wedding Photography by the www.AtlantaArtisticWeddings.com

Atlanta wedding photographers at AtlantaArtisticWeddings shoot a Urban themed wedding shot with a bride at Krog Street Tunnel

As a Atlanta wedding photographer at www.AtlantaArtisticWeddings.com I get to shoot at a lot of unique places.  From churches, historic venues and urban landscapes.  This week I got to do a wedding shoot at a urban area of Atlanta.  This land mark is the Krog Street Tunnel! When you think of a urban landmark you should think of the Krog street tunnel.

The Krog street tunnel is famous for it's graffiti.  It is like a piece of living art in the sense that the wall are constantly being painted and changing.  Every time I have gone there the walls and even the sidewalk are different.  The graffiti ranges from small images,  words to large detailed murals.  It is a great place to see emerging artists and people who just want to express their selves in paint!

The bride in this case wanted a Atlanta urban wedding shoot.  The bride wore a beautiful wedding dress.  It was strapless with silver details around the top.   The dress was layered with chiffon that flowed with her every move.  She wore a silver and diamond necklace that complemented the bride and wedding dress perfectly.

The Bride could not have been more fun to shoot.  She embraced the idea of a urban wedding photo shoot.  The Atlanta wedding photographers were honored to shoot such a beautiful bride for a energetic urban wedding shoot.

Thank you so much for visiting and I hope you keep coming back.  Please go to Atlanta Artistic Weddings contact page and drop me a line I would love to hear from you!

Atlanta Artistic Weddings Shoots Great Band!

Photo by the Atlanta Wedding Photographers at www.AtlantaArtsiticWeddings.com

Atlanta Wedding Photographers shoot Band with Special Guest

This weekend the Atlanta wedding photographers had the honor of shooting a great band who knows how to get a party started! The band consisted of a awesome guitar player, drummer, bass player, keyboards, horn player, and two of the best singers ever!

I always like a good band who gets the crowd going!  This band got the crowd participation going!  The grooms cousin got to sing and the grooms brother got to play drums with the band.  The crowd loved it, the band loved it and the brother loved it too.  They were so gracious with their time and talents while sharing the music with the crowd.  The room rocked as they played through out the day and night.

As a Atlanta wedding photographer one of my favorite things when shooting wedding is the unexpected.  Well this one had so many wonderful unexpected moments that I was honored to capture.  It is sort of like music and improvising you need to be open to the moment.  Then be aware to listen and look.
Well there was one rocking patron a guest there who told the band he loved "Uptown Funk" by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars.  He was probably around 10 years old.  The band  knew the song and invited this young man up.  As soon as he got on the band's stage he turned into a different person.  All of a sudden this little guy became a rocking front man!  He worked the crowd and everyone crowded the stage to get a eyeful of this man.  What I love about the photo is the other women singer in the band being amazed at this little rocker!  Like I said before what I love about wedding photography is the unexpected and this was defiantly one of those!

AtlantaArtisticWeddings Shoots at Strand Theater

Photo by the Atlanta wedding photographers at www.AtlantaArtisticWeddings.com

Atlanta Artistic Weddings shoot at the Strand Theater located in Marietta Square

The Atlanta wedding photographers at www.AtlantaArtisticWeddings.com shot at the historic Earl Smith Strand Theater.  I would like to give you a little background on the Earl Smith Strand Theater.  The Strand Theatre, is a noted historic landmark on the historic Marietta Square in Cobb County, got its start as a major motion picture house around 1935. The Strand provided movie entertainment to thousands of people of all ages until it closed its doors as a movie house in 1976.   In 2002 community leaders got together and researched the idea of restoring the classic theater.  After a few years of hard work and fund raising they restored this beautiful venue in January 2009.

This particular photo was taken during a wedding in Marietta Square. After the wedding they went to Marietta Square and started taking photos.  The groom mentioned to them that he had a friend at the Strand Theater and that he arranged for them to take some photos from the roof there.  They went to the Strand Theater and the staff there could not have been more gracious!  We went up the elevator and got to the veranda at the top.  The view was stupendous, you could see all of Marietta Square from there.  We took some photos from there and started down the elevator where we were greeted by the Strand Staff.  They noticed that the theater was empty and asked if we could take photos there.  The employee said sure.  They knew exactly where They wanted to go.  We went to the stage and They lined the couple up on the light so they would be back lit.  That was when They got this classic black and white photo in a historic landmark the Earl Smith Strand Theatre.

This weekend was one for the books.  I shot a wedding at the Roswell Historic Wedding Cottage.  It is a great venue in the heart of Roswell.  It has a big open floor plan on the first floor and a large balcony over looking the dance floor.

This particular wedding was a African wedding.  I am so honored to be a Atlanta wedding photographer at AtlantaArtisticWeddings.  One of the my favorite things about shooting weddings is I get exposed to so many different cultures. This couple had two ceremonies.  One a traditional African ceremony and the other a traditional christian ceremony at a historic church.  Before the wedding I did a lot of research on traditional Nigerian weddings. It is basically a ceremony where they bring two families together.  So the two families face each other during the ceremony.  Each family brings gifts for the other and they exchange them.   There is also a lot a laughter and entertaining banter!  Which I loved.  The two moms where great at that!

The couple were awesome!  They could not have been more gracious.  There families were wonderful!!!  They are truly blessed with so many wonderful friends and family.

Sunrise and Sunset Calendar from AtlantaArtsticWeddings | Atlanta Wedding Photographers

Photo by the Atlanta Wedding Photographers at www.AtlantaArtisticWeddings.com

Sunrise and Sunset calendar from the Atlanta Wedding Photographers at AtlantaArtisticWeddings

If there's one thing that can make or break a photograph more than any other, it's lighting. You might have the most incredible landscape or stunning portrait model, but without the right quality of light you can still be left with a flat, dull, and uninspiring photo.
This is particularly true in outdoor photography - it can often be difficult or impossible to use artificial lighting to illuminate your subject, so you're completely reliant on the natural light.
All Atlanta Wedding photographers know that you need to know the sunrise and sunset to plan for good photographs.  To help you plan we have included a calendar to help you plan for the best time of day for your photos.  If you have any questions please contact Atlanta Artistic Weddings and we will be happy to help you in any way that we can.

Atlanta Wedding Photographers at AtlantaArtisticWeddings shot engagement photos at Piedmont Park

Atlanta Wedding Photographers at AtlantaArtisticWeddings shot couple dancing at the gazebo in Piedmont Park

This weekend was great!  I got to meet the most wonderful couple!  They found me on Google and saw my reviews.  So when we meet in person we just started talking and I found out that the groom came from a town near where I grew up.  And if you grow up there the one thread that goes through everyone in that region is BBQ.  He was even a fan of the same BBQ place I grew up with in my home town!  So I knew we were going to get along beautifully!

The Atlanta Wedding Photographers at AtlantaArtisticWeddings shoot wonderful couple at Piedmont Park

The couple are going to get married in Boston but they wanted to get their engagement photos done in Atlanta.  They living within walking distance to Piedmont Park and wanted their photos to reflect that.  So I meet them there and we started to walk around to all the great locations there.

Engagement Photography by the Atlanta Wedding Photographers at www.AtlantaArtisticWeddings.com

We went to the soccer field and got all the photos of the Atlanta sky line but my favorite photos is when I get to capture a couple's personality.  Now let me tell you this couple has lots of personality!  They were fun and so kind to one another.  I loved they way they looked at each other.  I could tell they were so deeply in love.  When we made it around the Piedmont Park we stopped at the Gazebo.  I have shot the gazebo there many of times.  This time I was going to give the couple a little space and see what happens.  Well they looked at each other and started to dance as if it was going to be their first dance at their wedding.  It was o cool to see them get swept away in the moment.  I felt like this is when I captured a little bit of their personality.  You can see it in the photo above.

Engagement Photography by AtlantaArtisticWeddings | Atlanta Wedding Photographers

The Atlanta wedding photographers at www.AtlantaArtistcWeddings.com had the honor to shoot this wonderful couple on Saturday for their engagement photos.

Photo by the Atlanta Wedding Photographers at www.AtlantaArtisticWeddings.com
Well this Saturday was one for the books for these Atlanta Wedding Photographers.   It was like all the stars aligned to make for a wonderful session!  I had a wonderful fun couple!!! They came to the session early and with their dog.  The couple were so thoughtful to each other and just a joy!  The dog was full of energy and loved photo bombing the couple shots which made for fun and spontaneous engagement photos that reflect the couples personality.

Photo by the Atlanta Wedding Photographers at www.AtlantaArtisticWeddings.com

Well I have to admit when I started the shoot I was trying to think positive.  When  I got up that morning I was worried about the weather because it was dark and cloudy.  As you know that the weather is the one thing that you can not do anything about.  So I kept thinking positive all the way to the shoot.  It was as if when I got to the shoot the clouds parted and it became a beautiful morning with great light and weather!!

Photo by the Atlanta Wedding Photographers at www.AtlantaArtisticWeddings.com

Well when the clouds left the party began!  We explored the area and just generally had a ball!  There was hardly no one in the area so we where able to let the dog off the leash (which the dog wanted badly!).    I can not say enough nice things about this great couple.  They were just a joy to be around and fun to shoot.  They knew how to have fun and it was great to capture their personality in photos.  As you can see they just kicked off their shoes and let their hair down and had a blast!

Thank you so much for visiting this Atlanta wedding photographers blog you can see the official website at www.AtlantaArtisticWeddings.com.  I hope that you come back and drop me a note.  I would love to hear from you!

Atlanta Wedding Photographers at AtlantaArtisticWeddings Capture Exit in Classic Car

Atlanta Wedding Photographers Capture Exit and the Perfect Moment

It is a honor being on the team of Atlanta wedding photographers at Atlanta Artistic Weddings.  We get to shoot so many unique Atlanta weddings.  I just love it when people make bring part of their personality in to the wedding.  The photo you see above is from one such wedding that was shot a historic wedding venue outside of Atlanta.

The groom is a old car buff.  He had his original 1963 Impala from when he was in high school.  He restored it to it's original glory.  He wanted to have his wedding exit in the classic car.  The bride could not have been happier!  They had a driver for the car and they were chauffeured from the wedding venue.  Before they drove off I wanted to get a shot of them.  I got my assistant to get in by the front seat with a remote flash so it would light them and the interior of the car he loves so much. It is one of my favorite photos I have shot. It captures the perfect moment during the wedding exit.

Type of Wedding Exits by AtlantaArtsticWeddings

Bubble Exit shot by AtlantaArtisticWeddings

The Atlanta Wedding Photographers at AtlantaArtisticWeddings shoots a Bubble Exit and Sparkler Exit in One Day

I want to thank this wonderful couple.  They were awesome!  They were from different places all over the country and they decided to have their wedding in Atlanta.  I was so happy when they gave me the honor of being their wedding photographer.

As a group of Atlanta wedding photographers I am honored to shoot so many different weddings.  This particular wedding had two exits!  It had a bubble exit from the church and a sparkler exit from the wedding event venue.

Tips for Wedding Exits

When shooting a bubble exit you need to keep a couple of things in mind.  One that you have plenty of bubbles.  The more bubbles the better.  Also keep in mind that bubbles to stay in the air forever.  That means that you need to keep the bubbles close to your couple and the couple needs to stay close together to get the shot they want.  If you keep the bubbles close to the couple it looks like you have a lot of bubbles and that makes fro a great shot!

Now I have covered a few times the Sparkler exit.  The number one rule on sparklers exits is safety first!  Make sure the sparklers are far enough from each other that no one gets burned.  You also need a place to safely put your hot sparklers after they go out.  A bucket of sand is really good for that.  When purchasing your sparklers be sure to get the really long ones so you will have enough time to see all the sparklers lit and the couple has enough time to go through them.

by the Atlanta Wedding Photographers at www.AtlantaArtisticWeddings.com

The Atlanta Wedding PHotographers at Atlanta Artistic Weddings shoot with Natural Light

If you have been following me you have been seeing a thread through all of my blogs and wedding photography.  The thread is my love of natural light.  Great natural lighting is what makes a photography to me.   The Great Ball Room at the Georgian Terrace is made for natural light!  It has these massive floor to ceiling windows on one side of the room that bring in a lot of natural light and look so beautiful and classy.
We were honored to shoot this military wedding at the Georgian Terrace.  They both serve in the military and were so great to work with.  The had a group of fun wedding attendants.  They were what you would think of a military couple very supportive of each other and so thoughtful.
The Georgian Terrace is a wonderful historic wedding venue in downtown Atlanta.  People have shot movies and commercials at the historic venue.  The staff are what I would call consummate professionals full of grace.  They bend over backwards to make your wedding day special and something to remember forever.
As a group of Atlanta Wedding Photographers it is a honor to shoot this wedding.  This military couple and the historic wedding venue made it a joy to shoot!
Thank you so much for visiting!  I hope that you have been enjoying this blog and come back.  Please feel free drop me a note I would love to hear from you!

AtlantaArtisticWeddings reflects on Atlanta wedding photography

by the Atlanta wedding photographers at www.AtlantaArtisticWeddings.com

THE ATLANTA WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHERS AT ATLANTA ARTISTIC WEDDINGS REFLECT ON A GREAT YEAR!

I can not believe how blessed I am being a wedding photographer in Atlanta.  I get to work with so many wonderful couples and get to document there wedding day!  If you look at my wedding packages I include a engagement session with every package.  The reason I do that is that I get to know the couple what they are comfortable with and to know their story.  They in return get to get more comfortable with the camera and get to know me.   Most importantly they get to take some photos in a more casual atmosphere where they can relax and be their selves.
This particular couple was awesome!  We meet early in the morning when the light is great.  It was also the one day the whole week where it did not rain! We started walking around the different areas of the park where Atlanta wedding photographers usually shoot at.  I then spotted a large puddle where we had to walk around.  Instead of looking at it as a obstacle I looked at as a opportunity!  I noticed the sky line reflection on the water and told them to go to the top of the puddle.  They stood there relaxing after walking around and all I had to do was shoot!  I love their reflection in the water and their casual pose.  Two people in love reflecting on life.  I hope you enjoy the photo as much as I did taking it.
Thank you so much for visiting.  I hope you keep coming back and keep in touch with the Atlanta Wedding Photographers here at AtlantaArtisticWeddings.  Please feel free to drop me a line I would love to hear from you!

AtlantaArtistcWeddings captures wedding photos with Atlanta Skyline

Atlanta wedding photographers capture skyline

Atlanta Wedding Photographers capture skyline at Piedmont Park

The Atlanta wedding photographers at AtlantaArtsiticWeddings had the honor of shooting Ian and Amber.  They were such a wonderful and fun couple!  They were so thoughtful to each other and knew how to have laugh!  These thing made the shoot a dream!  They were relaxed and knew how to let there hair down.
The couple have such a great wedding story. I meet Ian in a photography class at Emory Continuing Education where I teach at in the evenings.  He is a big fan of the classic 50mm lens and does a great when ever he breaks it out.  During our time in class he shared that he was getting married where came from in Jamaica.   During our last class he told me he was leaving after class and having some one come to their apartment and marry them before they get on the plane.   I told him I would be honored to do their photography when they get back from their honeymoon.  Well they came back and we finally had a day where it was not raining in Atlanta.  Amber's wedding dress was beautiful it is simple with a empire sort of beach cut dress.  Which was perfect for her and reflected her personality.  We had the shoot early in the morning at Piedmont Park.  It was as if we had the whole park to ourselves!  We captured the Atlanta skyline in the background of in a lot of the photos from our session.
What a great honor it is to be one of the Atlanta wedding photographers here.  We get to meet wonderful people like Ian and Amber then photograph them in beautiful locations with the Atlanta Skyline!
